So yes, I've decided to try my hand at knitting. Can I just say that it's not as relaxing as I thought it was gonna be? I'm not sure what I expected, but every time I pick up the needles my neck tenses up and it just stresses me out. I think maybe knitting is not for me, but I started a scarf and dang it all if I'm not going to finish it! I love the colors in the yarn and the bumpy texture, so maybe all that will hide my mistakes. I think I may be doing something wrong because it seems wider in the middle than on the outside edges, but I've only made about 8 rows so I'm gonna give it a few more and see if it doesn't even out. And my yarn twists so that when I get to the end of a row I have to hold the thread up and let the knitted part unwind. Is this normal? Of course, I got my instructions from youtube so that may have something to do with it, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, this is the yarn, and hopefully soon I'll have enough of a scarf to post a picture of my progress.

i just started my first 'real' crochet project: fingerless gloves. i've only ever done scarves and baby blankets (just large scarves)...here's hoping i can go in a circle....
i love this yarn and your SPC. can't wait to hear how it goes.
My mom taught me to knit, but I far prefer crochet. Knitting stressed me out too. Mom says I'm crazy. But she doesn't really like crocheting, or sewing (which, of course, I think is crazy).
